The children at Sonas Midland have been exploring the colours of the rainbow.
Together, we added green food colouring to rice and shook it up. The children then explored the prep room to find objects that were green. We found pompoms, dinosaurs, pegs from the peg board, paddle popsticks, tissue paper, and some vegetables.
While the children were exploring the tray, we discussed what the green sheep was doing in the story and what the other sheep were doing. They named all the vegetables and looked around the environment to identify all the things that were green.
