As part of our series of park play the children chose WHITEMAN PARK as our next exploration destination.

First we wanted to say thank you for the land we were on but had to research if we were still on WADJUK land before completing Acknowledgement to Country together. Next we wanted to explore the various parks the Whiteman Park has on offer we climbed, weaved and manipulated our bodies to reach heights never before reached in a Sonas vest.

One of our children noticed a bright blue bird – what could it be, we edged closer and noticed its black bodies Educator Crystal told us it was a Blue Fairy-wren so together we decided we could collect some sticks to take back to childcare and create a nest for the birds in Gosnells.
