This has been a very special week where we have recognised the First Nations people who have occupied and cared for this land for over 65,000 years.
The children have been excited to explore the Aboriginal culture through story time and through creative activities. We recognise the significance of the first footprints on this continent were those belonging to the First Nations people. We decided to create the Aboriginal flag with our own handprints, as our little hands can shape our world. Whilst we painted the flag we talked about the significance of each colour and why they are important, this sparked some wonderful discussions.
