Children demonstrate locomotive skills along with engaging in and maintain positive relationships and interactions with adults and peers.

Loose parts play develops skills across the whole curriculum. It is child-led, and helps children strengthen their independence and sense of self. It helps children observe, enquire, investigate, construct, deconstruct and engage with both others and the world around them. By having different materials such as cut up pool noodles, bottle top lids, pine cones, wooden rings, egg cartons and different sized recycle boxes it gave the children the opportunity to use their imagination and get creative.

By using sticky tape and balancing each object we worked together in a group to create some awesome monsters by using loose parts. The best part about it was pulling it all apart to create even more fun creations.

Loose parts are such an open-end play experience that had us busy for hours.
