This week at Sonas Karrinyup, the children did a counting activity.
It started with painting the cardboard yellow to make it look like a pizza. This is a great way to strengthen fine motor skills.
The educator then divided the pizza into 8 slices, and the children helped her put the correct amount of “pepperoni” onto each slice. The children counted along as they used their fingers to paint on the pepperoni.
A great, fun way to incorporate math into an experience.
