Over the last month the children of Sonas Wanneroo have been creating and caring for our own Veggie Garden.
We have Zucchini, Basil, Tomato, Pumpkin, Watermelon, Coriander, Lavender, and a Lemon tree, all growing alongside our gorgeous plants in our Garden Learning Zone.
The children have been learning about all aspects of these plants and carefully water them every day, using the leftover water from our mealtimes and emptying our water bottles at the end of the day.
We have been painting what we see in the changes in the garden as well as moving our bodies like the trees in the breeze.
We can’t wait for the plants flowers to start producing fruit and veg for us to use in our Kitchen. 😊
