This week to extend upon the children’s fascination of finding caterpillars, we decided to make our very own butterflies.
Starting off with our butterfly cut outs, we weave half of a wooden peg through the middle of our paper acting as the butterflies’ body and flipping it over to tape the back firmly.
Next it was time to colour. Our friends used a combination of different colours to create their perfect butterflies
Our last step was weaving some fishing wire through the middle part of our butterfly and tying off the end so that our butterflies can hang and act as if they are flying.
