Dinosaur stomp here, Dinosaur stomp there, Dinosaurs stomp everywhere.

This has been the theme of learning for our older children this week. So many of our children have begun to take a fascination with Dinosaurs.

The educators provided the children with provocations to further scaffold their interests. The children and educators set up a small world for the dinosaurs and had discussions about what they could place in the small world. The children eagerly set up the play space and then spent so many hours playing there.

The children used the resources to feed their dinosaurs and create their new homes.  After the children had created the homes, they took the dinosaurs on an exploration of our art studio.

Some of the children stomped the dinosaur in a small amount of paint and then created footprint tracks on the paper. The other children then joined in creating dinosaur footprint tracks.

Some of the children spoke about how their dinosaur needed to change colour so they then painted the dinosaurs in an array of colours.
