Children and educators took advantage of the lovely weather and sounds of nature as we set up a nice area outside so that we could relax and listen to audio books.
A couple of the children asked if they could listen to the hungry caterpillar. As they were listening to the story, both of them got excited about the foods the caterpillar had eaten. One child got excited and said loudly ” I love chocolate cake” to which the other replied ” so do I.” the other children all nodded in agreement.
After we had listened to the hungry caterpillar two of the children asked if we could find a book with spiders. This led to us researching together about different spider books and we came across Charlotte’s web, to which we listened to a couple of chapters before discussing what animals we could find on a farm.
