The children gathered in our outdoor play space to participate in an experience of buying and selling fruit and vegetables.

Two children were nominated to be the shop keepers where there duties are to explain what items are on sale and to let our valuable customers know how much our products cost.

Using toy counters we looked at our price board to see how many counters it will cost us for what we would like to buy and counted said amount, handing it over to our shopkeepers and taking our fruit and vegetables away to eat.

This experience developed the children’s concept of money, social and emotional development, developing language and communication and cognitive development.
