This week our nest babies have spent time exploring through painting.

The educators supported the children to use their hands and feet to explore the texture of the paint. Some of the children enjoyed the feel on their hands and wiggled their fingers to smear the paint everywhere.

The babies smeared the paint all over their faces and then smiled at the educators and tried to then wipe it over the educators faces.

This experience supported our nest children to develop their fine motor skills and hand eye coordination using their own hands to paint with.

Some of our babies then used their painted hands to create some fantastic art work which we have then turned into special reminders for their families.
