Children gathered in our outdoor play space to participate in an experience of creating our own music.
Collecting items from our rooms and yard, such as stepping stones, pots, bowls, buckets, and boom whackers, we were able to set up our very own drum set on our lawn.
As the children were playing music, educator Tiana played songs from her device for the children to drum along to.
Taking turns between all of our peers, each child sat down on the yellow stepping stool with one boom whacker in each hand, ready to make some music.
This experience promotes the children’s hand-eye coordination, fine motor skills, gross motor skills, social development, and creativity.
