This morning we went on an adventure around our yard to find natural items that we could use as paint brushes.

We collected leaves, wood chips, broken bush parts and sticks. Once we had all of our items, we took them inside to put them to use.

We as a group chose what colours would be best to use for our paintings and placed them inside of our tuff tray.

Once everyone had started painting, conversations started to rise as they noticed each of our natural resources made different painting patterns compared to the person next to them.

This activity strengthens their hand-eye coordination skills, fine motor skills along with promoting the children to explore their world.

Our friends have also built on their creative skills by rebranding what we would usually use for painting and creating new items to use instead.
