The Sonas philosophy and ethos resonates so deeply with child educator Tracy Price that she jumped at the opportunity to return to our Sonas Dayton daycare centre after relocating back to Perth.

Now Sonas’ longest serving staff member at Sonas Dayton, Tracy is driven by mission to prioritise the happiness, joy and wellbeing of children in our care and their families.

“I feel a lot of pride in what I helped create and being able to build relationships with the children and families from day one. I guess that almost makes me ‘part of the furniture.”

She has more than 14 years’ experience working in child care, including two years with Sonas.

“I enjoy working with Sonas as I align with the Sonas philosophy,” Tracy said.

“I have built great relationships with the children and enjoy the family grouping and free flow approach of the centres. Being part of a child’s learning and development, and seeing them shine, is an especially rewarding part of the job.”

In 2020, Tracy left her loved job at Sonas Dayton to move away from Perth. But when she returned to Perth a few months later she jumped at the opportunity to return to the centre.

“I was really keen to return to Sonas as I had already built strong relationships with the children and their families,” she said.

“I was a foundation staff member at Dayton when it opened in 2019 so I was part of the start-up team and had input in setting up the centre.
