We made savoury scones for afternoon tea.

First,  we “wash our hands,” then we “dry them,” and before sitting down at a clean table, the children set some rules. “Don’t put your hands in your mouth.” “We have to take turns.” The children confidently identified what was needed for this experience before we started.

The children here at Sonas Childcare Ashby enjoy participating in real-life scenarios where they can make connections between what they do with their families and what we can do here. Ensuring we listen to the children’s voices and use them as a tool for intentional teaching.
