Today our children made the most of the lovely weather and spent time outside.
As they were playing outside the older children wanted to change the obstacle course around to make it more challenging.
They brainstormed ideas of how to make it more challenging.
“we could add jumping walls”
“let’s change the layout”
“lets build a wall”
The children then worked together to build a wall using the big lego blocks. This wall then became too high for the children to climb over so the children then worked together to make smaller walls and place them into the obstacle course.
The children then took turns to complete the obstacle course and they kept building the walls if they got knocked down. With words of encouragement from the children and educators, we were all able to complete the course building upon our physical development in a fun way.
