The children got to begin immersing themselves into different cultures as we started to celebrate Chinese New Year.
Our educator Jessica gathered information from one of our families about how we could help incorporate Chinese traditions and customs into our service for everyone to enjoy.
The children enjoyed creating their own masterpiece using the symbol for Spring. The educators took this opportunity to discuss how the Chinese New Year is known as the spring festival and to talk about the different Chinese zodiac animals.
The children and educators are now working together to figure out what year of the animal everyone was born in.
We are looking forward to exploring more.
