One of our objectives this fortnight was Objective: child recognises pictures and some symbols, signs and words.
In the Nest the children had the opportunity to look at some familiar fruit and vegetables that they may see in the service and at home.
The older babies pointed at the vegetables and chatted amongst themselves and role played to eat the picture cards.
The younger babies used their hands to move the picture cards around the floor before trying to pick them up using their gross motor skills.
