Objective: Child uses reasoning and planning ahead to solve problems.

Today in the art room, children have been engaging with clay and various tools.

Children started by expressing the clay was hard, and not soft like playdough, but persisted onwards and used their fine motor skills to manipulate and manoeuvre the clay around and into shapes and formations.

Some children added match sticks to theirs, creating pizza, cake, snowman and other things. Others just manipulated the dough, adding water when needed.

Sharing tools where needed, using verbal and non-verbal communication to ask for the tools.
