This morning we headed out to our local community pantry in the Sonas bus. We borrowed the bus from Coolbellup one of our sister centre’s, Hayley put our car seats in and off we went! Hayley drove while Tiarne from Coolbellup came along to help. On our drive the children spoke about what they could see.
We got to the pantry and the children all walked beautifully to where we needed to go holding the rope and walking nicely together. They unloaded the bags of non perishables we took.
On the way back to daycare we spoke about the purpose of the community pantry and that it is there for families and people who may need some food but can’t afford to go and buy it, so we donate items to help them out.
