Today we brought out a table from the arts studio that had recently been up-cycled into a grass table.

We then found some cardboard boxes and we painted them brown and grey to turn them into rocks to create a barrier of where our waterfall will fall. We painted a box blue and put sand and glitter to make a small pond and we dyed some sand blue and added some glitter to make the water look more textured.

We all worked together and took turns to create a waterfall area in our safari for the animals to drink and wash themselves.

Small world play helps children develop their imagination and opens them to a new world of fictional play where they can explore different concepts and engage in role-play based activities.
