Today we were joined by one of the local students from Ridgeview Secondary College who accompanied us on an excursion to the park, where we enjoyed some ball games, playing on the swings and playground, sharing our experiences through conversation, and taking in our surroundings.
Evaluation: The children seemed to enjoy building connections with the students and loved being able to play, express their feelings about the experience, and run around with them.
We had so much fun and cannot wait to do it with them again. As this has been so successful and well received by both the children and the students, we will be continuing on with regular weekly excursions on Wednesday and Friday during all of Term 4 while the students are at school.
