As an extension from our bubbling mud sensory tray, the nest created some purple goop. The children assisted Sariia in collecting the different ingredients from around the centre and then helped to pour and mix the ingredients together.

The children experimented with the strange texture of the goop. They would hit it quickly and discover the goop was hard and wouldn’t move. When they would gently place their hand into the goop, they realised it was cold to touch.

The children used both their hands and feet to explore the sensory texture of the goop. They showed enjoyment walking around the room after standing in the goop with lots of smiles and laughter, watching their own footprints follow them.
