Recently in the nest we have been developing our sensory skills.

We have been exploring our new sensory mats and creating messy play provocations to explore.

Sensory play helps to develop children’s cognitive and physical skills, such as fine motor and hand eye coordination.  It also exposes children to different textures that they may not yet have experienced.

It is also a great way to build social skills in small groups and forming bonds with peers and educators.
