Sonas Baldivis – Where Do I Come From?

The toddler and Kindy children have become intrigued by the differences between them all. They have begun to notice that some children are tall whilst others are shorter, why some children have different coloured hair and eyes.

The children have been using this learning opportunity to create some wonderful family portraits. Whilst the children have been using their creativity skills, the educators have been talking with the children about their families and how many people live in their houses.

The children and educators have discovered that some children come from really big families whilst some of us have small families.

As the children were intrigued by the differences in everyone and their families Miss Zoe & Miss Ebonee utilised this as a wonderful learning experience to help the children develop relationships, diversity and encourage everyone to show respect and empathy no matter the differences between us all.
