The children at Sonas Bayswater have been celebrating Book Week with lots of exciting activities.
The children enjoyed a wonderful sensory experience based on the events of the story “Going on a Bear Hunt.” They explored each of the pieces and scenes in the story, the long wavy grass, deep cold river, thick oozy mud, swirling whirling snowstorm, big dark forrest, narrow gloomy cave, and the bear!
They had a great time using their senses to explore and respond to their environment and use their memory to role play and re-enact each section of what happens in the book.
Objectives: Story-telling and re-telling, the ability to sequence events, exploring and responding to their world using their senses, engaging in conversation and social interactions based on findings.
