They began by counting their own fingers, then proceeded to count gloves filled with sand, each labelled with numbers 1-5. The engagement fostered a vibrant learning environment, igniting their curiosity and numerical understanding.

Objectives: Taking on roles of literacy and numeracy users, begin to understand key literacy and numeracy processes, increasing understanding of measurement and number using vocabulary to describe size, length, volume, capacity and names of numbers.
