This week the children at Sonas Bayswater learned how to create goop.

They started by gathering on the floor to discuss what ingredients we need. Each child took a turn squeezing the corn flour in its package, and then they collaborated to set up.

They got aprons from the art room and collected water from the tap. Using corn flour, water, and food colouring, they measured and mixed the ingredients with their hands in a tray, to make green and pink goop. They excitedly explored transferring colours between trays, making lines, and patiently waiting their turns, that are important skills.

Objectives: The children are learning important life skills, how to follow a sequence of tasks in the right order to produce the correct product, learning to take turns, share and learn the importance of fairness.
