Sonas Bayswater – Picnic Role Play!

Objective: Child understands some characteristics of self and others.

The Nest children have been learning all about role playing a picnic with dolls, teddies, and toy food items.

They had a great time serving food to themselves, the teddies, and their peers. The children explored the different types of healthy foods on offer and engaged in social interactions with one another about what they have seen, touched, heard, and even tasted.

Role play is a great way for children to learn important life skills, develop their communication skills and form their use of language, and it gives them the chance to explore, experiment, and even investigate.
