The Nest children have been learning all about recycling with these recycled materials to engage in some fun in the sandpit using cereal boxes, ice cream containers, cylinder tins, and squeezy sauce bottles.
We have built sandcastles together and used our hands and feet to squish them, further developed our gross motor skills by scooping with the spoons to fill the various containers and tipped the sand out, letting it fall all over our legs and feet.
Objective: The children are demonstrating an increasing knowledge of natural and constructed environments, actively participating in sustainability practices, and learning the importance of reusing and recycling as much as possible.
