The children at Sonas Bayswater have been engaging in science experiments about the weight and density of different items. The children used objects found in our STEM Studio such as a pinecone, bottle tops, lego, a shell, ball and a block. Before the children added the items, we discussed what the children thought would happen and after we discussed what happened when all the items were in the water.

Objectives: encouraging the development of skills such as problem solving, inquiry, experimentation, hypothesising, researching and investigating, embedding the importance sharing and turn taking as well as giving the children a chance to experiment and experience the pleasure and benefits of shared learning exploration.
