Sonas Bayswater – What a Whopper of a Grasshopper!

While we were out gardening, we stumbled across a whopper of a grasshopper! 

We talked about the features of the grasshopper, discussed its habitat and what it may eat.

We created a safe little home for our new friend, giving us the opportunity to watch it move, scratch and nibble on leaves before it was decided by one of the children that the safest and kindest thing to do to help our friend was to return it back to where we found it so that it could reunite with its family.
