Objective: Children develop a range of learning and thinking skills and processes such as problem solving, inquiry, experimentation, hypothesising, researching, and investigating.

Today, as the weather was hot outside, we brought sand and water inside. The children scooped and poured sand and water into different containers. Furthermore, the children also mixed the sand and water, sieved the sand, and watched the water go through the spinners.

Sand and water play is sensory play; it allows children to develop their problem-solving skills, their creativity skills, and their learning through exploration. Furthermore, practicing scooping and pouring is an essential everyday skill for children to learn.
