The children this morning were engaged in painting with recycled materials.
The educators set up a painting corner with all the recycled materials, like egg cartons, brown paper, paint brushes, and different coloured paint, in a tray and encouraged the children to explore with paint.
The children showed great interest in painting and created some artistic patterns on the paper and cartons.
Learning Objective:
This experience allowed the children to develop vital fine motor skills, fine muscle strength, coordination, language skills, and imagination. Painting also allows children to experiment with colours, mix colours and create their own colours to suit their ideas of what they want to produce.
