We were so excited to have the St John Team come out to visit us this week to provide free first aid lessons to our children within the centre in a fun and interactive way.
The lesson was presented as a 30 minute story book session introducing our children to first aid concepts, using the telephone to call 000 and even being able to meet Paramedic Bonnie and her teddy bear Kora!
Our favourite part of all was going out and having a tour of a decommissioned ambulance. Bonnie showed us how the lights and sirens work, where all of the supplies and equipment were kept, how to use them, what they were used for and we even managed to give Kora a cuddle.
