Today the children experimented with playdough.

Together we discussed what ingredients should go into playdough, and then poured them into the bowl without measuring to see what would happen. At first, the playdough was too dry and crumbly so after some discussion we decided to add some more water. We mixed it all together but now it was too sticky.

We learnt that too much water makes our playdough sticky but too much flour makes it dry. We tried adding some more flour, but only a little bit at a time. Eventually we got the perfect playdough consistency.

We had so much fun experimenting with different ingredients and volumes before getting to enjoy our creation.
