Pincer grip is important for future skills like handwriting. If you don’t hold your pencil correctly, you won’t have proper control over it and your handwriting will suffer.
This is a very important early learning skill to develop prior to schooling. To achieve this, we did an activity that incorporate numeracy too. The children picked a flashed card with a number on it, said it out loud and picked out of a box the amount of bugs/animals that they needed.
