This week, we had our Halloween Messy Mat Play Day at Sonas Midland.

We had heaps of sensory and tactile activities set up all around the room for the children to feel, touch, walk on, squelch and just get messy with. Creativity and exploration were fostered through our green swamp slime, black jelly with hidden surprises to dig through, orange rice to explore scooping and measurement, spider web buckets to develop fine motor skills and so much more.

One of our amazing mums of our centre even did face painting for the children. Lastly, emotional development was highly evident during these experiences, as the smile on all the children faces were priceless as they engaged in this social event.

What a spectacular day filled with adventure, curiosity and plain ole mess!
