The children at Sonas Midland have been exploring our Hospital/Doctors set up in the STEM Room this week.
The children find their sense of belonging by recognising the connection from when they visit the doctors/hospital with their own families. We have placed feeling cards in set up so the children can understand and make that connection with their own feelings. Plenty of real band aids, bandages, gloves, and doctor equipment for the children to explore.
Lots of communication through conversations and verbal cues were had from talking about who is sick, how do we get better, how can we fix this and working together.
The educators enjoyed watching the care and empathy the children had for one another.
