Working with a plan in mind, we brainstormed together what a puppet theatre could look like.

Using our recycled materials, we were able to cut and shape our hand puppet’s theatre box. As we love our creative expression in our art studio, it was important to decorate our theater. The children chose which colours they would like to use, as well as a variety of different sponge brushes. Before they had finished, everyone was painting with their hands.

After some good reflection, we added length to our puppet’s by using our big wooden blooks; this allowed the children more freedom and room to bring their puppet show alive.

Children used their imagination through pretend dramatic play to develop our wonderful puppet performances. Encouraging lots of verbal communication skills through storytelling and singing.
