This week, the children practice their cutting skills by using scissors to cut a piece of paper into their own creation.

Some children cut butterflies out by folding the paper into half first and then cutting the rest out; some made presents for their mums and dads, so they cut out paper to fit the present to wrap; and some of the children practiced their cutting skills by just cutting the paper up into small bits.

By practicing our cutting skills, this develops their small muscles in their hands and fingers, hand-eye coordination, and improve their attention to tasks.
