Sonas Wanneroo – Making our Garden Grow!

This week the children have learnt how plants grow.

We have done this by building on our fine motor skills, by planting seeds, scooping dirt, and watering the seeds.  We have covered and explored the seedlings planted to show the life cycle and how they grow. 

The children have learnt a budding understanding of their responsibilities with caring for the plants through learning the cause and effect of how watering plants will help the plants to grow but without water and sunlight they won’t. 

The children also learnt to work together and develop a stronger sense of well-being by being a part of growing their own food as this encourages healthy food choices and a respect for the environment.
