Today while making our playdough, we used a range of different utensils to measure the ingredients.

Flour was measured using a heart-shaped container, and we discovered a whole heart was just the right amount. Next, salt was added, but only half a container full was needed. For the oil, we used a plastic medical syringe. The cream of tartar was measured using a recycled laundry detergent cap. Lastly, we used a recycled yoghurt container for the water and a pipette to drop in the food colouring.

While using the various utensils and containers for measurements we used our problem-solving skills, understanding of measurements, and awareness of portions.
