This week marks the first week of our Summer Vacation Care program at Sonas Wanneroo, so with our big schoolies we have gone for a walk to our local community pantry, the Wanneroo Urban Pantry.
The children applied their suncream, put on their vests, packed their green bags and off we went. Along the way we have spoken about road safety, ensuring we are holding hands with the educator when crossing roads and only doing so when they say it’s safe.
To stay safe from the sun, we cut through the shops to get to the other side. When arriving at the pantry the schoolies loaded all the donated food items onto the shelf and sat on the bench for a big drink of water before the walk back to the centre.
