Sonas Wattle Grove – Christmas Craft – Creating Homemade Decorations.

This month at Sonas Wattle Grove the children have been busily making some Christmas craft to take home for their parents. In Kindy and in Pre-school the children have been enjoying making some salt dough tree decorations. 

We started out by making some salt dough, making sure it was just right before rolling it out into a thin sheet. Then they picked which shape they would like to create from the cookie cutters. They could choose a tree, a gingerbread man, an angel, a star, and a candy cane. Once they had cut it out, we baked it in the oven, and then once cooled, decorated it with some paint and glitter. 

The end result was beautiful tree hanging decorations.
