What we noticed: A spiderweb outside our fence.
This really intrigued the Kindy and Preschool children one in particular.

Child: “I want to make one too”
Educator: “Sure what can we use?”
Child: “Can I have some rope”
Educator: “I don’t have rope but I do have wool will that work?”
Child: “Ahh ok”

This small conversation turned into an exciting experience that many children were completely enthralled in. We were able to explore our Gross and fine motor skills as we weaved through the life size spiderweb. Our imagination as we created new patterns and shapes in the string, enhanced our language development through conversations with our friends. Also we had a whole bunch of fun in the process.
