This afternoon we have come together outside to participate in an experience of outdoor yoga!

We laid our yoga mats out across our grass spaciously, so our peers had enough room to comfortably move about whilst changing yoga positions.

One of our peers were nominated to be our yoga instructor leading them to sit at the front of our group telling the children what poses we will do. This role swapped between our group of people who wished to have a go.

We tried poses such as, downward dog, cat pose, butterfly pose, child’s pose  and so many more!

This experience is beneficial as it encourages the children to develop special awareness capacity along with self-regulation in new environments, gross motor development and visual instructions.
