Sonas Wattle Grove – Rubber Band Board 

This afternoon we have sat down in our STEM studio to participate in a programmed experience of creating a rubber band board.

We gathered our needed tools of a board, rubber bands and pegs. 

Placing them onto our table, carefully and as a team our group worked together to add the rubber bands about their boards creating a weaving pattern.

Once the rubber bands have been placed, our friends then started to add pegs onto the rubber bands.

Using the different colours of the pegs, our groups created their own patterns and structures as a team.

This experience prompts children to work collaboratively with one another along with building their fine motor skills, hand eye coordination along with exploring pattern.
