This morning we gathered in our STEAM Studio to build our knowledge on recycling.
Before we began this experience, we spoke about the type of bins we could see and the pictures on them to figure out what kind of objects would go in each.
Once we had a rough idea of which bins was which, our peers one by one would grab an item and drag it into the bin they believe it should be in.
Once the item was placed, we discussed if that was the right place for said item and broke down whether it was/wasn’t for that bin.
Once all our items were placed in their right places our peers had noticed the triangle symbol on the front of the bin and curiously asked why it was there, this then transitioned us into looking around our studio for any leftover boxes or bottles that might have the symbol on it.
Once we found a few we sat back at our spot talking about how this means, is it a item that would need recycling and looking up photos of our recycling bins to show which bin it should go into once we’ve finished with it.
