For numeracy this week, the children explored the concept of patterns. The children were able to explore the coloured pattern that Cherie completed. Once they were able to recreate the pattern, the children then began to work on creating their own patterns.
Some of our children were able to grasp the concepts of patterns whilst others required further support to develop their concept of patterns.
Once the children had mastered a basic pattern, then we began to see them explore more complex patterns using numbers.
